Work Experience:

Contract Staff Management:
• Procurement of all work including preparation of tender submissions.
• Management of staff and jobs within the civil and environmental teams.
• Co-ordinate workloads and supervise staff and monitor progress of jobs.
• Co-ordinate training and professional development of staff.
 
Contract Administration:
• For Local Authorities and Utility Service Companies for Utility Services Renewal and Augmentation Projects (stormwater drainage and watermain projects) with individual Contract Values in excess of $1M.
• For residential and commercial subdivisional land developments and road construction with individual Contract Values in excess of $4M for private sector.
• Preparation of Request for Expression of interest and Contract Documents.
• Evaluation of Expression of interests and Tender Evaluations and Recommendations.
• Engineer’s Representative to Contract.
• Checking and processing of all claims and variations.
 
Construction Monitoring of works:
• Civil construction projects, including residential and commercial subdivisions and land development.
• New road construction, road shoulder widening and upgrading, and seal rehabilitation works for Regional Arterial to minor roads, siteworks and carpark areas.
• Infrastructure and utility services construction works.
• Bulk earthworks including soil and erosion control and protection measures.
• NZS3910 and CCA.
• Conflict resolution in relation to the Contract Document.
• The level of construction monitoring carried out has generally been to level CM2 and CM3 as described in the ACENZ Construction Monitoring Guidelines.
 
Engineering Design and Calculations:
• Geometric and structural design of new roads and road upgrading including District Arterial roads.
• Subdivisional earthworks including sub-soil drainage, cut/fill, finish contour, road layouts and soil and erosion control and protection measures.
• Utility services including stormwater, wastewater drainage and water supply reticulation.
• Stormwater catchment analysis, flooding and overland flows, investigations, assessments and reporting.
• Residential stormwater and wastewater pumping stations.
• Stormwater detention and stormwater quality devices.
• Stormwater soakage systems (shallow and deepbore soakage) investigation, testing and reporting.
• Cleanfill site located adjacent to a residential area.
• Domestic onsite wastewater disposal systems of up to 4.6 m3 daily discharge to a land disposal field.
• Land development potential investigation, assessment and reporting to the private sector.
• Hydrological neutrality design and reporting for predevelopment stormwater regime within a land development project.
 
Consent Preparation:
• Preparation of Resource Consent Applications at Regional Authority and Local Authority level.
• Earthworks and Erosion and Sediment Control.
• Works in a Watercourse.
• Stormwater Discharge.
• Works Within and Occupation of the Coastal Management Area.
• Trade Waste Discharge.
• Land Use - Land Modification and Subdivision resource Consent for Land Development.
• Preparation of Assessments of Environmental Effects to accompanying resource consent applications.
 
Consultation/Negotiation:
• Direct client liaison from job briefing to final invoicing.
