An architecturally designed 4 unit townhouse development in Pt Chevalier that Team CLC worked on.
This was a challenging narrow site with moderate contour away from the road, negating vehicle access and garaging for each unit. Added complications of a shallow wastewater line passing through the site mid slope and no current stormwater connection requiring extension of the Council network from the adjacent reserve with works required through an area of protected trees.
The CLC Civil, Structural, Survey and Planning team was involved throughout the process from feedback and problem solving to the designer of the initial design, obtaining resource consent and Council land owner and asset owner approvals; design works for parking area configuration, public drainage, common accessway, retaining walls, foundations, beams and portals, to construction monitoring and obtaining PS4 Producer Statement Certification. Survey set out was carried out for both dwellings and engineering, and obtaining subdivision releases and certification for the individual lot titles.
